Lincoln Park, Chicago

Born August 28, 1985 in Chicago, Illinois. Raised in Old Town / Lincoln Park just off of North Avenue, running around exploring the outdoors wasn't really a thing that we could do.

When I was 4, I supposedly told my parents I wanted to take figure skating classes like the ones my two older sisters were taking. I don't recall such events, but I started skating in any case.

It wasn't just skating all the time. There were many other activities like judo, baseball, soccer, swimming, cooking, art, etc. It just kind of wound up being skating that ended up being the activity of choice as I and my siblings got older.

Even though I left at age 14, I still consider myself a Chicagoan. It's a great place to live, and it's someplace I'd be happy to move back to someday.
